Biography
Marina Vernicos was born and raised in Athens, Greece. She studied Communications and Photography at Emerson College (Boston) and Business Administration at Harvard Extension School.
Exhibitions
Since 2001, she has presented her work in solo and group exhibitions in galleries and museums worldwide. Highlights include the Museum of Cycladic Art (Greece), the Louvre (Paris), the Eiffel Tower (Paris), and the Hangaram Art Museum (Seoul), as well as exhibitions in London, Monaco, and New York.
Awards & Recognition
Her photography has received international recognition. She was nominated for National Geographic’s Photographer of the Year (2018) and won First Prize at the Global Art Awards (Dubai). She has also received the “Sandro Botticelli” prize (Palazzo Giucciardi Bongianni, Florence) and recognition at “La Grande Exposition Universelle” in France (Eiffel Tower).
Collaborations
She has collaborated on photographic projects with brands including Mercedes, Perrier, Napapijri, Folli Follie, and Sani Resort. She has also served as an ambassador for Hermès, La Prairie, and Omega. Her work appears in leading hospitality destinations such as Amanzoe and Nikki Beach Resort & Spa in Greece and Turkey.

Marina Vernicos has published seven books featuring her photography.
CREAID
Driven by social awareness, she founded CREAID , a non-profit organization with a humanitarian mission. CREAID brings creativity and art together to support the local community and help children in need through projects, exhibitions, and annual charity auctions.
Marina Vernicos Collection
As an entrepreneur, she founded the fashion and lifestyle brand Marina Vernicos Collection , featuring accessories, jewelry, and clothing inspired by her imagery. Part of the proceeds supports We Dive We Clean, a volunteer diving initiative dedicated to cleaning Greek seabeds. She is also the founder of CREAID, a non-profit initiative that unites art and design to raise funds and support significant social causes. The brand is available online and at the Marina Vernicos Collection store in Athens (34, Voukourestiou Str., 106 71 Athens).
Family
She is the daughter of Demi and Georgios Vernicos, founders of Vernicos Yachts (www.vernicosyachts.com). She is married to businessman Miltos Kambourides and has three children: Demilia, George, and Annezia.

Marina Vernicos captures the essence of nature and urban landscapes with a refined sense of calm. She builds each image through light and shadow, color and texture, and the rhythm of the elements. Her seascapes often highlight the luminous reflection of water, while her cityscapes focus on architectural detail and the distinctive character of each place.
