Mandy Oikonomopoulou Bosini, a BizTech professional by trade, is the founder of therinós who, inspired by the resort ambiance of Dubai and the nostalgia for her home country Greece, decided to create a resort wear brand that would stand out and deliver something unique that both the local and international market would relate to.
She then reached out to her lifelong friends Dimitra Molyndri, who was already working in the fashion industry and Kelly Vichou with extended experience in digital marketing and together they brought therinós into life.
therinós, which means “summery” in Greek, launched in February 2021 with a capsule collection of one-piece swimsuits designed to be worn and adorned from day till night, at the beach as well as in evening soirees. It is an ode to the founder’s heritage, roots and surroundings dedicated to the mediterranean lifestyle.
Inspired by iconic female figures with ageless style, the brand’s objective is to create modern yet classic designs that flatter and celebrate the feminine silhouette. Deeply connected with the brand’s Mediterranean roots, high quality luxurious yarns are sourced from Italy while the production atelier resides in Greece, with a longstanding experience in sartorial craftsmanship.
Timelessness, sustainability, and inclusivity are the core values of therinós which embraces a mindful and creative design and manufacturing process. Part of the collection is made of recyclable and regenerated yarns from plastic collected from the oceans and landfills. The brand’s mission is to further explore the use of recyclable materials and sustainable practices moving forward.
